What is it?
It's a protozoal disease transmitted by tick bite
How?
The parasites live and reproduce into red blood cells causing their massive destruction and anemia
Incubation
From 2 to 4 weeks
Signs
The most visible
signs are: depression due to high fever and anemia, dark
brown urine.
Treatment
Tip: rush to your vet! A quick evolution is often the rule
Protocol
Imidocarb, Diminazene diaceturate, and other drugs are used
Prevention
Vaccination is available although it isn't fully protective against the disease
